Potential topics for the letter:

- Overall outcome of the week are papers on best practices for DDI 3.0
in the area of the subjects. The final list of subjects will be
determined in dependence of the availability of related experts.
- list of subjects ...
- The papers will be published on the DDI Alliance web site. The names
of the workshop participants will mentioned in the papers.
- Working groups will be build for each subject.
- A plenum meeting should take place every morning to communicate the
current status of the discussion.
- People are required for each subject who take the role of a chair/note
taker/draft writer.
- Venue is Schloss Dagstuhl, Leibniz Center for Informatics in Wadern,
Germany. Dagstuhl provides an intense working atmosphere in a nice
remote region.
Information on the location is available at:
http://www.dagstuhl.de/
Pictures: http://www.dagstuhl.de/ueber-dagstuhl/presse/downloads/
- Cost for accommodation (including full board) in Dagstuhl is Euro 60/day.
- Coming from Frankfurt airport it is a 2.5 hour travel by local train
(ca. Euro 23,90 one way to Türkismühle) and taxi (ca. Euro 33,50 one
way). Other options see:
http://www.dagstuhl.de/ueber-dagstuhl/anreise/
- Own funding is required
- maximum 21 participants
- arrival Sunday November 9th, start of workshop Monday Nov 10th 9:00.
- end of workshop Friday Nov 14th afternoon (3 or 4 pm), departure
Friday or Saturday.

Regarding participants from GESIS-ZA Cologne: Meinhard will think about
that (he just arrived from vacation and will soon go again on vacation).
It seems he would be interested, but he will perhaps have some time
constraints. Wolfgang is on vacation, both will be available again at
August 12th.
I would see Meinhard as a business person and as a candidate for all
business and b/t subjects (without controlled vocabularies).
I would see Wolfgang more on the technical side (but also on the
business side) and as a candidate for all b/t subjects, and for metadata
storage.
But they will discuss it themselves in August.
