that looks like the documentation is wrong. there can be multiple parts to
a logical record. A logical record is basically one per case.
Once again. when there are multiple part records one or more variables may
be duplicted in each line.
In the past these have been used for the purposes of check sums and may no
longer be required. We were initially making sure that we didin't lose
anything from 2.1.
Feel free to file a bug, but note if it is clearly not required in all
cases, should be a default for the "simple" files, or should have its
documentation clarified. I am reluctant to toss something that could be
handled with a default when the only use cases we have to go on are simple
files. There's a reason they're called simple...they don't require all the
ocmplexities.
