Q: I like the rearrangement, but is it possible to retain the linkage to
previous history in CVS with rearrangement? I seem to recall it's a pain in
SVN, but I've never done it.

Also, I would rephrase " I would also suggest that if
your looking to continue to evolve that which is under the 3.0
directory, that you begin to use "Tagging"  to identifiy specific
verisons of your work under the trunk (and that this can be done
retroactively by assigning tags at specific dates your distributions
were produced." as a requirement rather than a mere suggestion. People need
to take an hour of their own time to learn how and why to tag, or else we
can spend 30 min on a call to update everyone.
