[DDI-SRG] TIC Meeting in October

In autumn a TIC meeting is planned from 29. to 31. October (Monday to
Wednesday). The location is in Germany at the International Conference 
and Research Center for Computer Science Schloss Dagstuhl in Wadern.

A three-day workshop on DDI 3.0 will take place in the week before at 
the same location from 24. to 26. October (Wednesday to Friday) run by 
Arofan, Wendy, and me (organized by GESIS-ZUMA, in cooperation with DDI 
Alliance).

Some first ideas for an agenda of the TIC meeting can be:

- Review of the up to now candidate draft period
   - What does the result of the use cases tell us?
   - What does the experience with tools implementation tell us?
- Future development DDI 3.x
   - Review of plans and features, which were discussed and planned for
DDI 3.0, but not realized.
   - SDI group subjects
   - life cycle approach
     - which are the missing parts of the life cycle
     - where should they go
     - is there a need for additional modules
     - are the modules in sync with the life cycle approach
   - new ideas

Additionally a registration for the accommodation at Dagstuhl is
required. Soon I will provide further details. Accommodation including 
full board will be 60 Euro (what seems to be really cheap, I hope the 
food is good :) ).

Mary told me, that the DDI Alliance will probably cover the expenses for 
travel and accommodation/food (maximum four nights). In addition to the 
people already there (Arofan, Wendy, and me) maybe four people can be 
considered. Four nights would enable a full three-day meeting. I would 
like to emphasize STRONGLY to get the cheapest air fares possible. This 
means usually early booking of air travel.

The decision on a proposed subsequent informal DDI Expert meeting is 
still pending. This meeting would probably affect the travel plans.

I would be interested to get an overview who will come to the meeting.
Arofan, Wendy, perhaps J, and I will be there anyway.

Other ideas for the agenda?

Wendy: We could discuss shortly this meeting tomorrow. Especially who 
will come and who we would like to have at the meeting (are the 
additional four people enough?).
