From moschner at za.uni-koeln.de Fri Sep 29 05:06:08 2006 From: moschner at za.uni-koeln.de (Meinhard Moschner) Date: Fri Sep 29 05:06:20 2006 Subject: [DDI-CDG] CDG - DDI 3 Message-ID: <451CE200.6020905@za.uni-koeln.de> Dear colleagues, on the occasion of the forthcoming meeting on the DDI 3 release for review at GESIS-ZUMA in Mannheim, Germany (see e-mail below), I would like to ask for your future commitment to the Comparative Data Group in respect. Our main task would now probably be to evaluate the DDI 3 proposal from the comparative data perspective, in particular with respect to the corresponding module. One proposal is to mark up an exemplary comparative study (for example two or three compararable modules of the ISSP) and to see if (or how far) DDI 3 complies with our needs. The Mannheim meeting would be good occasion to start talking about plannings among the conference participants from our group. This should be based on some information on the remaining composition of the group and the future committment of its members. In this sense I am looking forward to your feedback which could of course already include your own ideas about our proceeding. I would ask everybody on the list to answer. By the way, we have to look for a new co-ordinator since Oliver had to step back due to other obligations. So far and many greetings Meinhard -- GESIS/ZA Central Archive for Empirical Social Research Meinhard Moschner moschner@za.uni-koeln.de Tel. ++49 +221 47694 21 Fax. ++49 +221 47694 44 For more information on EUROBAROMETER please see: http://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer -------- Original Message -------- Wendy Thomas wrote: > k > Hi everyone, > > Below is a proposed agenda for the 2 day meeting in Mannheim.
