[DDI-ADG] [DDI-All] DDI Version 2.1 Available...

Good morning! The revised DTD and Schema (Version 2.1) and corresponding 
Tag Library are now available on this page of the DDI site:

http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/DDI/users/dtd/index.html

The revised version incorporates the new method for handling categories 
that was voted on in the spring. You can find information on the actual 
changes made by accessing Version History and scrolling to the bottom of 
the file:

Also, I wanted to remind the Working Groups that our September 1 deadline 
for submission of proposals to the SRG is fast approaching. The SRG will 
need to work on the proposals extensively before they get together in Ann 
Arbor on October 18-20, so please plan to comply with this important deadline.

And finally, ICPSR is working on a draft design for a new iteration of the 
DDI Web site, which the Usability and Outreach Group will be refining. We 
should have something to look at in the new two weeks. Thanks to everyone 
who suggested improvements.
