Donald Hedeker

Don Hedeker is a professor at the University of Chicago, where he received his Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology. Don's main expertise is in the development and use of advanced statistical methods for clustered and longitudinal data, with particular emphasis on mixed-effects models. He is the primary author of several freeware computer programs for mixed-effects analysis and published, with co-author Robert D. Gibbons, the text Longitudinal Data Analysis (Wiley 2006). In 2000, Don was named a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. Don is an Associate Editor for Statistics in Medicine and Journal of Statistical Software. He has been the PI, co-PI, or co-I on numerous research grants.
