Biography:

Veerle Van den Eynden manages the Research Data Management (Producer Support) section of the UK Data Archive. This section promotes and provides guidance, support and training on data management, data management planning and data sharing to researchers and data producers, in order to promote good data practices in research and to optimise data sharing opportunities. A particular focus is on data sharing within the context of the ESRC Research Data Policy.

Veerle also leads research data repository development projects at the Archive, collaborates in data sharing activities for the population health sciences, and manages the archiving of research data from the interdisciplinary Rural Economy and Land Use programme (Relu) at the Archive and the Environmental Information Data Centre, and the linkage of data with research outputs via the Relu knowledge portal.
