Saundra K. Schneider is Professor in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University. During Spring 2014, she is also the Fulbright Visiting Research Chair in Governance and Public Policy at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Binghamton University. Her main research and teaching interests focus on public policy and research methodology. Her current research examines the policy priorities of the American states, the role of administrative influences in social welfare program developments, the linkages between public opinion and public policy, and the effectiveness of governmental responses to natural disasters. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on regression analysis, methodology and research design, quantitative analysis, bureaucratic politics, policy analysis, social policy development, crisis management, and program evaluation.
