Brian Pollins is Associate Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the Ohio State University. He also teaches at the Summer School in Empirical Research Methods at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Previously, he held positions as a Research Scientist at the Science Center Berlin, and as Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan School of Business. He also served as the co-editor of International Studies Quarterly from 1991 through 1995, and has taught for over twenty-five years in the University of Michigan's ICPSR Summer Program in statistics. His published research has focused on the interrelationship between global economic ties and interstate conflict. This work has appeared in journals such as International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, American Journal of Political Science, and American Political Science Review.
