Skyler Cranmer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of California at Davis in 2007. His research fields are political methodology and international relations. In methodology he specializes in missing data problems, Bayesian statistics, statistical computing, and measurement issues. In international relations, his subject of specialty is terrorism. He is especially interested in the empirical implications of theoretical models and the gathering of terrorism data.
