Ronna Cook Associates
Ronna J. Cook is a social services consultant with over 30 years of experience in survey and evaluation research, social services delivery, and special education. Her primary interests are child welfare and education studies. Ms. Cook has designed and directed some of the most innovative and challenging national studies on services to children and their families conducted over the past 25 years. These include the Head Start Impact Study and the Third Grade Follow-Up to the Head Start Impact Study (both random assignment impact studies); the National Evaluation of Family Preservation Services (also random assignment); the National Evaluation of Title IV-E Foster Child Independent Living Programs for Youth; the National Study of Protection, Prevention, and Reunification Services to Children and their Families; and the Evaluation of Illinois Subsidized Guardianship Waiver Demonstration (random assignment). Ms. Cook spent many years at Westat, a leading national research contractor, most recently serving as Associate Director of Westat's Human Services study group. She earned Master's Degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Special Education with Emotionally Disturbed Children (MA).
