Mathematics for Social Scientists III

This lecture course will cover mathematical tools that are relevant to maximum likelihood estimation and Bayesian approaches to statistical analysis. The overall objective is to prepare participants for relatively advanced treatments of these topics. Subject matter to be covered in the class includes: Integration, probability, random variables and probability distributions, event simulation and the analysis of simulated data.
