How to Become a Member or Subscribe to ICPSR

Joining ICPSR is straightforward and easy to do. If your institution would like to become a member or subscribe to ICPSR, simply submit a Membership Application form. Membership or subscription obligations include:

  • Agreement to use data responsibly
  • Payment of annual dues
  • Designation of an Official Representative to be the primary contact for communication between your member institution and ICPSR

Annual Dues

Dues for US academic institutions are based on the institution's classification in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Annual dues for these institutions are based on a fiscal year that runs July 1 through June 30 and are as follows:

Dues for nonprofit, government, and academic institutions outside the United States, and for commercial subscribers are based upon the institution's size and use of data resources. There are four levels of Associate membership or subscription. Annual dues (running through FY2016, which ends June 30, 2016) for these institutions are as follows:
