Digital Preservation

On the most basic level, digital preservation is defined as "the active management of digital content over time to ensure ongoing access" (Library of Congress).

This guide describes digital preservation practices at ICPSR, the primary objective of which is to ensure long-term access to the more than 500,000 files in our collection.
