Updating Files Previously Released
Members of the research community who have previously deposited their data with NACJD are encouraged to submit additions, updates, or changes to that data and/or documentation that would benefit future analysis. Examples of such enhancements include: additional waves of data, previously unavailable documentation and/or syntax files, and newly discovered corrections and/or errata notes.
Submission procedures for such items parallel the procedures for new deposits. Researchers should mark "yes" for the question, "Is this deposit a new edition, extract, update, or special version of an existing ICPSR data collection?," and include a note in the comment box provided at the bottom of the online deposit form. The note should list the ICPSR study number of the existing release version and detail how each deposited file differs from those previously released.
