Tools

The RCMD site contains many tools to help the user get the most from ICPSR.

Search Tools

• Variable Search

  Users can perform variable level searches across studies in order to compare the answers to similar questions.

• Bibliographic Search

  The bibliographic search allows users to see find publications resulting from the data. It is a continuously-updated database of thousands of citations of works using data held in the RCMD archive.

• Geographic Search

  RCMD users can search the collection by geographical region.  RCMD studies in which the geographic area covered is stated can be accessed through the corresponding geographic area.

• Glossary of Social Science Terms

Data Analysis Tools

Users can perform online data analysis on the RCMD site without downloading files. RCMD currently offers online analysis components for selected data collections using Survey Documentation Analysis (SDA).

  RCMD has created tools that provide additional online analysis functionality on select studies.
