Summary: These surveys were conducted to evaluate the Partnership for Long-Term Care (PLTC), a project in which the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation awarded grants to four states -- California, Connecticut, Indiana, and New York -- to work with private insurers to create long-term care insurance policies that were more affordable and provided better protection against impoverishment than those generally available.
