Q13: TEN PERCENT TAX INCREASE
As you may know, the new Graham-Rudman law forces the government to cut about $50 billion dollars from the federal budget deficit by next fall. That amount, $50 billion, could be raised by a 10 percent increase in people's federal income taxes this year. Would you approve or disapprove of such a 10 percent tax increase, if the money raised goes toward reducing the deficit?
