NAHDAP releases Pathways to Desistance subject follow-up and collateral data
The National Addiction & HIV Data Archive Program (NAHDAP) is pleased to
announce the release of additional data from the Pathways to Desistance
series. In August 2012, the subject baseline data were released. The
baseline file has been updated, and ten additional waves of follow-up data
over a period of seven years have been newly released following the
Pathways to Desistance was a multi-site study that followed 1,354 serious juvenile offenders from adolescence to young adulthood in two locales. Enrolled into the study were adjudicated youths from the juvenile and adult court systems in Maricopa County (Phoenix), Arizona (N=654) and Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (N=700) from 2000 through 2010. The aim of this project was to build a comprehensive picture of life changes in a wide array of areas over the course of time for these juvenile offenders.
