C2SROF02_NUM: C2 SRO: Set Fire - number of times in the past year

In the past year, how many times has the subject purposely set fire to a house,
building, car or vacant lot?

MEASURE: Self-Reported Offending (SRO)

The Self-Reported Offending (SRO; Huizinga, Esbensen, and Weihar, 1991) was adapted
for this study to measure the adolescent's account of involvement in antisocial and
illegal activities. We ask the collateral to report on the subject's behavior using
the same set of questions which are asked of the subject. The SRO consists of 24-items
which elicit subject involvement in different types of crime. For each endorsed item,
a set of follow-up questions are triggered that collect more information regarding the
reported offense (e.g., "When was the last time he/she did this?" and "How many times
has X done this in the past year?"). Two of the 24 items were added to the interview
battery after a significant number of individuals had completed the interview (thus
producing a large amount of missing data). These 2 items are not included in the
scoring.
