"60 Minutes" Features NIJ-Funded Study Archived at NACJD
On November 13, 2011, "60 Minutes" aired a segment featuring Geoffrey Alpert, one of the principal investigators of a recent NIJ-funded study archived at NACJD entitled the "Multi-Method Evaluation of Police Use of Force Outcomes: Cities, Counties, and National, 1998-2007 [United States]" (ICPSR 25781). The purpose of the study was to investigate how and why injuries occur to police and citizens during use of force events. The data collection is available to the research community through the NACJD Web site.2011-12-02
