Data management plans made easier

The newly launched online DMPTool makes it easier to create data management plans as part of grant applications.

Developed by several organizations in partnership, the tool enables researchers to create plans that are customized according to the specific requirements of selected funding agencies and directorates.

Working with the University of Virginia, ICPSR provided consultation on the tool to develop it for use in creating plans for the NSF Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate. A link to ICPSR's Web site on data management plans is available from within the tool when the user opts to create a plan for the SBE.
