New York City politics is the central topic explored in this survey. Respondents were asked for their opinions of Mayor Ed Koch, other public figures, and possible candidates in the upcoming September Democratic primary. Other topics covered include quality of life in New York City, the Yankees, the Mets, and the planned strike on August 6 of major league baseball players. Demographic characteristics of respondents also were recorded.
