Preconditions of the Formation of Public Opinion in the Federal Republic of Germany, 1964 (ICPSR 7014)
This data collection consists of four national cross-section sample surveys of the German electorate in 1964. Items probed respondents' attitudes toward the federal government, political parties, and a variety of foreign and domestic issues, as well as their knowledge and evaluation of politicians and various items of political interest. Scope of Study
(1) The documentation for this study is presently available only in German. (2) The data were collected by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and were made available through the auspices of Dr. Werner Kaltefleiter, director, Social Science Research Institute, Konrad Adenauer Foundation. (3) The Preconditions of the Formation of Public Opinion in the Federal Republic of Germany, 1964 (ICPSR 7014) data are written in IBM column-binary format. The data are multiply-punched and are stored in EBCDIC. The file should be designated a binary file when used on a non-EBCDIC system.
