This data collection provides detailed documentation of approximately 3,800 events: physical conflict interactions between Israel and each of the bordering Arab nations, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq, in the period 1949-1969. Data are provided for dates, participants, types of event, number of incidents reported, casualties, and the source of information. Data are aggregated to 10-day summaries for each Israel-bordering Arab nation dyad. See also the related collection, MIDDLE EAST EVENT/INTERACTION DATA, 1949-1969 (ICPSR 5201).
