Summary View help for Summary
The Performance Listings of the Central Opera Service Bulletin includes opera performances and workshops held United States nationwide and the world. The Central Opera Service Bulletin was published bi-monthly by the Central Opera Service up to 1989. Performance listings were retrospectively entered from bulletins published between 1959 and 1989. The Cultural Policy and the Arts National Data Archive (CPANDA) contracted the entry of the Performance Listings in the Central Opera Service Bulletin published from 1966-1989 into a database. After the information was returned, CPANDA staff checked the entered data by crosschecking randomly selected data against original bulletin entry. The organization names, city, and the state were standardized for consistency. Listed information includes performance organization names, location, opera title, and staff involved in the performances.
