Summary: The 2000 National Survey on Family and Economic Conditions (NSFEC) was collected by the Keio University Center of Excellence (COE) program. It is a national, two-stage stratified probability sample of Japanese men and women aged 20-49. The survey focused on aspects of early life course such as educational objectives and employment, as well as marriage, family life, child rearing, household management, and gender roles.
