INFIRM: Infirmity

Whether respondent suffers from an infirmity, as recorded on census card. Note, "idiot" and "insane" may have been confused by assessors and respondents alike. It should also be noted that institutionalized individuals were often NOT classified as having an infirmity. Whether an individual was institutionalized is recorded by variable 'instit'.
