BANNER: Banner affiliation

The administrative affiliation of the household to which the index individual belongs, as specified in an annotation in the register accompanying the name of the village in which a group of households resides. Since the CMGPD-LN population is organized under the Eight Banners, administrative affiliation is identified by a specific banner: Plain Yellow, Bordered Yellow, Plain White, Bordered White, Plain Red, Bordered Red, Plain Blue, Bordered Blue. The value will usually be missing for households that had no village specified, or whose village was specified but had no annotation indicating banner affiliation. Different households in the same village may have different banner affiliations.
