Archer, R-Texas, motion to suspend the rules and adopt the resolution to
express the sense of the House that Congress and the president should work
together to enact permanent tax relief for American families. Motion agreed to
by a vote of 412 to 0. A two-thirds majority of those present and voting (275
in this case) is required for adoption under suspension of the rules.
