SPONSOR(S) [If any]: Rep. Tom Campbell (R-Calif.)

Campbell, R-Calif., motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill to
permanently extend the au pair program, which gives English-speaking Western
Europeans between the ages of 18 and 25 the opportunity to live with an
American family and assist in child care for that family for one year. Motion
agreed to by a vote of 377 to 33. A two-thirds majority of those present and
voting (274 in this case) is required for passage under suspension of the
