Data Collection Notes:
The United States Summary and the state-level data are contained in one file each. The county data are contained in nine files, with each file corresponding to a Census Division. There is one file containing Standard Industrial Classification codes.
(1) United States Bureau of the Census economic censuses, the Annual Company Organization Survey, and Annual Survey of Manufactures, and (2) United States Internal Revenue Service Quarterly Payroll File
