Data Collection Notes:
The file is sorted according to the following geographic hierarchy: (1) State, (2) Congressional district, (3) County, or place of population 10,000 or more, or Minor Civil Division of 10,000 or more. There is one file per state. Each record is 12,096 characters long, and is broken into six record segments of 2,016 characters. The data are organized into 150 tables within each record. An individual record may be repeated at different geographic levels.
