<dc:description><p>Through this study, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) sought to collect and disseminate information about the impacts of post-9/11 security policies on scientific research and higher education. The study resulted in the development of a searchable database that includes 92 separate incidents in which scientists and engineers, from across the United States and internationally, were affected by the implementation of those policies.</p> <p>Data for this study were collected via the following methods: public literature and professional journal searches, the American Association for the Advancement of Science Web site, and announcements of the project.</p></dc:description>
