		<description>This study presents information obtained from college and 
 university faculty members on their social and educational 
 backgrounds and professional activities. Respondents' views on a 
 range of social and political issues were also assessed, including 
 their opinions on educational policy. Demographic data cover age, 
 sex, race, marital status, number of children, religion, income, and 
 parents' levels of education and occupations. The 60,028 respondents
