Summary: This retrospective chart review was conducted on gay and bisexual men who presented for a mental health intake at a health center between January 2000 and June 2000 during which time intake procedures and assessments remained the same. Mental health intakes consisted of one- to three-hour clinical interviews conducted by psychologists and clinical social workers, who determined treatment recommendations and assignments.
