Thursday Banquet
The Thursday evening banquet on Thursday, May 25 will be held in the Carriage House at Weller's banquet facility in Saline, Michigan, which is about a 20-minute drive from Ann Arbor.
Busses will arrive at the Michigan Union after sessions end on Thursday afternoon to shuttle meeting attendees to the banquet facility, and will return after the entertainment for the evening has concluded.
The IASSIST Local Arrangements Committee is pleased to inform you that entertainment for the evening will be provided by professional Motown and DooWop musician, Spyder Turner. Spyder grew up in Detroit (the Motor City!), and had his first hit with his rendition of "Stand By Me" in 1966. Spyder has performed with Little Richard, Chubby Checker, The Drifters, Marvin Gaye, and the Temptations, to name a few, and has recorded dozens of his own hit songs as well as covered more well-known hits, such as: "Stand By Me," "For Your Precious Love," and "Dream Lover."
