Methodology

Sample:The survey was conducted in over 60 countries, with a minimal sample size of 500 per country. Wherever possible within each country, a nationally representative sample of n = 500 adults, male and female, aged 18 and over was used. In some emergent countries, where such research conditions are not possible, there may be stated variations to this (e.g., "urban areas only"). Similarly, in the developed world, interviews were conducted by telephone while in emergent and under-developed countries, face-to-face interviews were conducted.

Weight:The data contain a weight variable (WEIGHT) that should be used in analyzing the data.
