Summary: | The National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) is a state-based, active surveillance system designed to obtain a complete census of all resident and occurrent violent deaths in participating states. Data are collected from multiple sources and entered into a relational data base. NVDRS is coordinated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. |
