Elementary & Secondary Education General Information Survey (ELSEGIS) Series

ELSEGIS, the predecessor of CCD, collects and publishes extensive information on education agencies in the United States and includes general descriptions of public and private schools and public school districts, data on students and staff, and fiscal data including revenues and current expenditures. This series followed the publication of the Directory of Public School Systems in the 1960's.
