Please indicate in the cover letter which data were used. 1 1 STUDY DESCRIPTION This data set contains data from the 1952 County and City Data Book for 489 cities with 25,000 or more inhabitants in 1950. The data were made available to the Consortium by William Lyons and Samuel Kirkpatrick of the Bureau of Government Research, The University of Oklahoma. All but fifteen of the variables described in the original source are included in this data set. For a more detailed description of the variables presented in this codebook, the user is referred to the 1952 County and City Data Book, published by the Bureau of the Census.
