ICPSR is committed to assisting data users in obtaining and utilizing the data from this complex collection. To that end, ICPSR hosted two week-long Summer Program Workshops, in July 2005 and July 2006, conducted by staff of PHDCN and ICPSR. The course covered the study designs, data files, questionnaires, and sampling frames. To acquaint participants with the project's data, the project's Scientific Directors, Stephen Raudenbush, Robert Sampson, and Jeanne Brooks-Gunn and other PHDCN research staff presented overviews of the data and their latest findings on neighborhoods, families, and children's social development. The workshop provided participants with the opportunity to conduct exploratory analyses on the data pertaining to research questions of interest to them.
