Brief Biography

Dr. Hedstrom is faculty coordinator of the Archives and Records Management specialization within the Master of Science in Information program at the U-M School of Information. She has published widely on many aspects of archival management, electronic records, and digital preservation and is writing a book on digital preservation to be published by MIT Press. Her current research interests include digital preservation strategies, the impact of electronic communications on organizational memory and documentation, remote access to archival materials, and cultural preservation and outreach in developing countries.
