Brief Biography

Peter Granda is Assistant Director for Collection Development and also manages two of ICPSR's topical archives, the International Archive of Education Data and the Health and Medical Care Archive.

Most recently he has participated in a number of collaborative projects with colleagues at other units within the Institute for Social Research including acting as Director of Data Processing for the National Survey of Family Growth and as Co-Principal Investigator of the Integrated Fertility Survey Series. He has interests in the creation and use of comparative and harmonized data collections and, in cooperation with the Zentralarchiv in Cologne, Germany, established a partnership to process and distribute Eurobarometer surveys for secondary analyses.

He has a long association with the cultures of South Asia where he spent several years of study in the southern part of the Indian subcontinent.
