Postsecondary Education Quick Information System (PEQIS)

The Postsecondary Education Quick Information System (PEQIS) was established in 1991 to collect issue-oriented data quickly and with minimum response burden. PEQIS was designed to meet the data needs of Department of Education analysts, planners and decision makers when information could not be collected quickly through traditional NCES surveys. The data collected through PEQIS are representative at the national level. The PEQIS employs a standing sample of 1,500 postsecondary institutions.
