Baccalaureate & Beyond (B&B)

Baccalaureate and Beyond (BB:93): The first Baccalaureate and Beyond cohort includes students who completed a bachelor's degree in 1992-93 from the NPSAS:93 survey. NPSAS:93 identified students who graduated in the 1992-93 year and asked a number of questions about their future employment and education expectations as well as about their past undergraduate education. The BB:93 first follow-up in 1994 (BB:93/94)collected information about their job search activities after graduation as well as information concerning their education and employment experiences after graduation. It identified those individuals who had shown an interest in becoming teachers and asked additional questions about their pursuit of this career, and if teaching, about their current teaching position. In addition, the first follow-up collected full undergraduate transcripts whenever possible. The second follow-up in 1997 (BB:92/97) collects information on education, employment, and other experiences since the last interview. It also collects current Federal aid and loan status information from ED records.

NCES provides access to B&B data through the SDA Web Website. At this site you will find a link to a Windows software data analysis application (DAS). Users must download this software to their personal computers, create and submit their own specifications to generate statistical tables to this Web site, and retrieve their results.
