CALS Exchange Table Model

The CALS Tables DTD provides a mechanism for incorporating tables into a DDI-compliant document. For more information on the CALS Exchange Tables Model, please consult the OASIS site: http://www.oasis-open.org/html/a503.htm.

Note: Users of the DDI DTD should note that there is a conflict between the DDI DTD and the CALS DTD in terms of the "title" tags. The DDI uses "titl", while CALS uses "title". Many users have worked around this problem by removing the "e" from the "title" specification in their copies of the CALS DTD, i.e., <!ENTITY % titles 'titl?'> instead of <!ENTITY % titles 'title?'>
